Weekly Music Highlights

This Week's Bangers

Here’s everything new on The Manamal’s Pit this week rockers!

AC/DC – “Power Up”full album Australian rock band AC/DC’s seventeenth album “Power Up” released on 13 November 2020 through Columbia Records and Sony Music Australia now streaming! We’ve had this one one the wishlist way too long and just couldn’t wait another second. If you have not heard the album yet no worries every track from this album is getting some fresh new airplay so throw up your horns for the best album from the band since the late 90’s.  Frontman Brian Johnson, who had to leave their last tour due to deafness, now has a special hearing aid so he can continue to sing, and Malcolm’s nephew, Stevie Young, plays rhythm guitar. Rudd is back in the mix and plays better than ever, and Angus Young is still pouring out the high voltage rock n’ roll!

Hardcore Superstar – “Dreams In Red” – Fresh off the heels of success from their recent runaway single and video “Catch Me If You Can“, Gothenburg’s favorite sons have unleashed their hard hitting new single “Dreams In Red” digitally through Golden Robot Records on October 2021! This is the best jam we’ve heard from the boys in a long time and is without a doubt one of our all time favorite Hardcore Superstar songs!

Michael Schinkel’s Eternal Flame – “Gravitation” – Already with their 2018 comeback-album “Smoke on the Mountain” The Eternal Flame laid down the foundation for their new album “Gravitation” which excels its predecessor in terms of songwriting, performance and virtuosity. Classic Heavy Metal meets catchy rock-songs and neo-classical tunes – all carried by Michael Schinkel’s brilliant guitar and unequaled voice. Moreover Helmut Kohlpaintner (keyboards), Thomas Keller (bass) and new drummer Tommy Wagner deliver outstanding performances along with guest-singers Mark Boals and Göran Edman. Lyricist Timothy Touchton (“Go for Gold” – Olympic Games Seoul 1988, “Sail away” – Joe Cocker, numerous Top-40 hits) complete the amazing lineup. Vintage rock and metal fans will want to catch these incredible new tracks on this weeks stream.

Sainted Sinners – “Taste It” – Not even a year after their highly acclaimed 3rd album “Unlocked & Reloaded“, Sainted Sinners return with their newest feel good rock n’ roll album. If you like true hard rockin’ music made with great craftsmanship, look no further than „Taste it“!

Cellar Stone – “Burn” (Deep Purple cover) – Greek heavy rockers Cellar Stone performing the classic Deep Purple hit “BURN”. It was released on the album of the same name in 1974, and was the first song by the Mark III lineup. Written by David Coverdale, Richie Blackmore, Jon Lord and Ian Paice. The song remained the band’s concert opener for the next two years, taking over from “Highway Star“. It opened Deep Purple’s set on the California Jam two months after its release, on 6 April 1974. This is by far one of the best covers of this song we have ever heard!

David Reece – “Blacklist Utopia”David Reece is a big name in heavy metal and the latest upcoming album “Blacklist Utopia” releasing via El Puerto Records on October 29TH 2021 will again sound off as one of the years hottest and most wanted among fans. He has already put his stamp on bands such as Accept, Bangalore Choir, Bonfire, and most recently the Sainted Sinners and refined the albums with his charisma and his unique voice. And his latest work “Blacklist Utopia” will soon be one of the fan favorites. The successful collaboration with Andy Susemihl (including ex-U.D.O.) As guitarist, songwriting and recording partner, which made the previous album an absolute pleasure to listen to, is also entering another round on “Blacklist Utopia“. And David Reece seems to have an almost inexhaustible source of fantastic vocal lines and gripping choruses on “Blacklist Utopia”, while the band seems to tailor the riffs and songs for him. Another notable name in the line-up is Francesco Jovino (Ex- Primal Fear, Ex- U.D.O.) on the drums. The excellent basework is handled by Malte Frederik Burkert throughout the album. We will be playing a mix of the most requested new songs from the album and a few of our favorites too.

Eclipse – “Wired” – Coming off their most successful album yet, “Paradigm” (which includes the massive single ‘Viva La Victoria’ that has 15 million streams and counting), Sweden’s Eclipse are coming back with their new studio album “Wired.” Releasing via Frontiers Music s.r.l. on October 8TH 2021. The killer new album will begin streaming on The Manamal’s Pit shortly after release with everyone’s favorite new tracks.

Edge Of Paradise – “The Unknown” – The fourth studio album, coming on the heels of their well-received third album, and Frontiers Music Srl debut, “Universe”. The band teamed up with renowned producer Howard Benson (Halestorm, Seether, Black Stone Cherry, etc.) who, together with Mike Plotnikoff (Halestorm, Three Days Grace) and Neil Sanderson (Three Days Grace) helped the band craft their biggest sounding album yet. Hear the full album in this weeks killer mix.

Shallowpoint – “Tell Me” – Shallowpoint’s sound is distinct so it’s no surprise that each member’s influences vary; from modern hard rock influences, classic rock and rock alternative, there is something for everyone. Their songs range from the metal tune “Fractured”, to a more commercial sounding rock song “Complicate” both of which spotlight the diversity that this band brings to the music universe. Bringing a rock-solid lineup, their LP titled “Infringement” was released and was a pillar of what rock music should be. The band has released several music videos, each of which can be considered nothing short of masterpieces as they were produced, shot and edited entirely by the band itself. We’ve got the latest new high energy progressive single “Tell Me” coming into the mix!

Tune in and hear these killer highlights this week and much more only on
